Alice Hurlbert

Born in Queens, New York, Alice Hurlbert began her art career as a child watching her mother creating works of art on canvas. Always interested in art, she did not actually begin painting seriously until later in her life. Alice works primarily in oils and pastels, but is not limited to them, enjoying charcoal and colored pencils with equal passion.

Participating in various art shows, she has amassed a number of awards, including a number of people’s choice awards and first place prizes.

While primarily known for her wildlife art, and children’s portraiture, her subject matter also includes landscapes and still life. Selling her works both in the United States and abroad she is known for her realistic portrayal of her subjects, with emphasis on capturing their spirit and emotions.

Between her travels searching for new inspiration you will find her painting in her studio in Sapulpa, Oklahoma
